Frequently Asked Questions

What size parts can you manufacture?

Off Site Manufacturing produces precision machined parts across a wide range of sizes to meet diverse application needs. Typical finished components range from approximately 2 lbs. up to 100 lbs. In terms of machining envelope, the facility supports milling operations up to ~30 inches and turning capacities up to 20 inches in diameter. These capabilities allow Off Site to handle medium- to large-format components while maintaining tight machining tolerances.

Off Site machines a broad variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including castings and bar stock. Common materials include iron, steel, aluminum, brass, and specialty alloys used in heavy-duty, industrial, and engineered applications. Thanks to established supplier relationships and material sourcing channels, they can support nearly all standard industrial raw material types required for production runs.

Off Site Manufacturing supports a wide range of annual production volumes, from low-volume runs (as few as ~100 pieces) to high-volume programs approaching ~500,000 units or more. Whether you’re launching a prototype or scaling to full production, our infrastructure and planning processes are designed to maintain quality and delivery performance at scale.

Off Site builds custom fixtures in-house to ensure parts are machined accurately and repeatably. The typical design and build cycle for new fixtures is 8–12 weeks, depending on complexity. Most new part introductions are ready for full production — including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submission — in 14 weeks or less, with engineering support and first-article review integrated into the timeline.

To initiate a quote, Off Site requests print files in PDF format and 3D models in STP (STEP) format. Providing both ensures a complete understanding of part geometry, tolerances, and critical features so that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.

Yes. Off Site Manufacturing offers flexible material procurement options. We can source and manage raw materials on behalf of the customer, simplifying supply chain coordination, or We can work with customer-supplied materials, depending on program requirements and purchasing preferences.

Off Site’s quality system emphasizes data-driven control and traceability. They maintain real-time SPC inspection, laser part identification, CMM inspection, and audit-ready documentation to support customer requirements, including IATF-aligned quality deliverables. This approach helps ensure parts consistently meet tolerance and specification expectations, with documentation suitable for customer and regulatory audits.
